In 2006, the term sustainability was not heard as much when referring to buildings. The Technical Code had just been born and even that level of restriction was very demanding for many technicians. Parallel to this reality, Iberdrola decided to build an office tower for rent with criteria that were more similar to the brand's principles. To do this, it turned to LEED certification as a design basis, a seal promoted by the US Department of Energy to lead the change towards a sustainable construction model.
The Iberdrola Tower was designed by César Pelli and was the first building to achieve the LEED Double Platinum certificate in Spain and Europe. Systems Asia Mobile Number List have been used to save water, reuse rainwater and gray water, and reduce electrical demand. The glazed envelope has low-emissivity and solar control treatments. The materials are of at least 20% recycled origin, the same proportion in which they have been sourced from local sources. Of course, the building has bicycle parking, charging points for electric cars and other devices that promote the least destructive way of life for the planet.
For everything else, great care has been taken with spatial quality, ease of use and the usual comfort parameters to guarantee pleasant and healthy work spaces. 02-19-2013. However, we cannot ignore the effort made to reduce energy demand, care for indoor comfort and health, and environmental considerations. The Iberdrola Tower is a very significant milestone in the history of construction, which highlights the possibility of lowering the consumption of buildings of this size and the impact of a healthy interior space on our daily lives. avatar photo Kömmerling Challenge Kömmerling initiative to demonstrate that another type of architecture is possible. A change marked by efficiency and design at a viable execution price.
